Newsletter, Facebook and YouTube…oh my!

Our new communication efforts don’t end with the new national website. There is an opportunity to receive our new Diakonia national newsletter. Deacon Janice Wunsch of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Boca Raton, FL, was the winner of our Name Our Newsletter Contest. The winning title is, The Tool Kit; Equipping the Saints.

Sign up to receive the newsletter by using the sign-up box on the website. We have also added a public Facebook page with information about the Diakonia program; a closed Facebook group for discussion and sharing of ideas among members (find these by clicking on the Facebook icon); and, last but not least, a YouTube channel where you’ll find a great promotional video. We hope to use this to add more videos so that we can share even more about Diakonia.

If you have questions or comments about any of these new features, please contact our Social Media Coordinator Judy Twist at Judy.Twist@DiakoniaUSA.org.

As you can see, the new social media efforts are not only meant to promote Diakonia, but to make previously unavailable resources and methods of communication available to all who might benefit from them. We sincerely hope that you will make full use of these new tools in your ministry kit and use them to “equip the saints for Diakonia, building up the body of Christ.”
